The constituent meeting of the Czech Geothermal Association held in December 2018 and the first general appointment in January 2019, formed a new organization by merging two entities, the Czech Geothermal Association and the Geothermal Association of the Czech Republic. The re-established association aims at the practical use of the natural energy of the Earth's interior.
The chairman was elected Jan Šafanda. Members of management became Zbyněk Šonka, Tomáš Kulašiak, Antonín Tym and Tomáš Fischer.
