Opto-Mechanical 3D dilatometre

Opto-Mechanical sensor TM71 is designed to measure three-dimensional displacement in rock cracks or gaps between rock blocks with complementary rotational information in two mutually perpendicular planes.

Regular Sensitivity:
0.007 mm for displacement; 0.00016 rad for rotation within the recommended ±5 mm (eccentricity) range in all axes without resetting the instrument. The instrument also allows to increase this range by up to ±30 mm by means of several repetitive adjustments without the special modifications.
The measurement should be corrected to the temperature of the instrument at the total length of the anchor span of the steel brackets (x-axis) for expansion 12E-6 to change by 1 ° C. Any temperature changes of the rock are not corrected for uncertainty.
The instrument is suitable for ground and underground measurements of normal slow movements of the order above 0.1 mm/year.

High Sensitivity:
0.0007 mm for displacement; 0.00016 rows for rotation. Range as normal sensitivity, but with an increased need to adjust (reset) the instrument already when the eccentricity is ±1.3 mm.
The device is suitable for underground measurements of exceptionally slow movements of the order of 0.1 mm/year and spaces with measures against temperature fluctuations.
